If I hear “data science” one more time..

I know, I know. You’ve seen a lot of articles, pictures, videos and maybe even songs that talk about data science! What gets on your nerves is that you many times can’t seem to make sense of them.

So in reality, when someone’s explaining data science to you, all you hear is “bla bla technical jargon bla bla bla more technical jargon”, and you’re like

Whatcha saying, bro?

You feel a little bit dumb….

If you don’t grasp the details of linear regression, decision trees and other many many data science concepts, hear this

You’re not dumb — you’re just new to the field!

NOTE: You can’t really blame anyone who uses technical terms to explain data science to you— the field is so large that it can be very difficult to explain without technical jargons.

Reason why I’m taking this platform to appreciate every single person who contributed(and are still greatly contributing) to books, posts and videos I’ve seen and explained data science to me. You are my heroes!

We’ve heard you — get to the point already

That said, why on earth then am I still typing??

I’ve seen the struggle, felt it myself and now I shall take it all away! Okay, maybe not all away, but as someone who loves writing and data science, but still slightly closes the fridge to see if the light actually goes off or not when I close it, I want you to say this to data science

I’m saying I have the fun-seeking mind of a child, the curiosity of a data scientist and the ‘explanation craze’ of a writer, and I’m still learning and growing, but I’ve learnt this- Start from the known then move to the unknown.

So let’s cut to the chase — this is exactly what I’m going to do!

The known? Know how to read and write?

Interested in data science and understanding all the important stuff?
